Tighten loose fixtures, replace light-bulbs, donate old clothes and furniture taking up space in your garage or rooms, address landscaping needs, clean your pool, and tackle the mountain of dirty laundry. Step 2: Find a competent real estate agent
Step two is finding a competent real estate agent in your area who is well informed on the market and who has a strong marketing plan that has an active buyer outreach incorporated into it. Once you have found her, put it up for sale.
This way allows you plenty of time to sift through the offers and work on improving your house to attract the offers you’re hoping for. Only when you list your house for sale will you notice matters to which you were blinded from, usually when you get offers nowhere near what you’re asking. By listing it sooner rather than later, you have the time to correct these matters in your favor.
